I have not read the book, but the film, starring Cary Grant and Myrna Loy, is a gem that we often quoted from when we were involved in remodeling projects. The book sounds wonderful as well!
A very good question! Wuthering Heights is still, almost thirty years later, still contaminated for me by my miserable high school experience of reading it -- reminds me to go back and give it an adult read.
