I just now found this page by doing a search for the “hooks” phrase. I had not read it, I had heard it, and I thought “that’s the most elegant and simple summary of the concept of “letting go” / “being present” / “non-attachment “ that I have ever heard. Like: “Ok, there is nothing more to learn.” Or like Alan Watts used to say “Once you get the message, hang up the phone.” So that phrase is my polestar now. For everyone’s benefit…I heard it on the YouTube channel “Wisdom of the Masters”. Anyone who likes deep spiritual teachings will be blessed to visit it. Samaneri Jayasara, a Buddhist nun in Australia, has created 10 or so 30-45 minute readings of excerpts from Nisargadatta’s teachings, as well as teachings from his guru (can’t remember name), Ramana Maharshi, Vivekenanda, and many, many more from Hindu, Buddhist, Zen, etc., traditions. All free. All exceptional. Her voice is melodious. She speaks clearly and slowly. She pauses between sentences for a moment, just enough time for the words to soak into your soul. There are a couple of videos of readings from I Am That by Samenari that truly take me right into That place. I am so grateful to her.

What a fun coincidence! I love that podcast -- one of the very few I listen to that leaves me happier & wiser at the end than if I'd listened to silence instead. Thanks for stopping by!

Brilliant! I love this: "In other words, we don’t need to wait on Mark Zuckerberg in order to take up residence in a virtual world; we are already there, and always have been." And all of it.
